Marinade for Tofu

For one cake of Tofu:

  • 1 ½ tbsp tamari
  • 1 tbsp dark sesame oil
  • 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar with Honey
  • 1 tsp fresh pressed ginger juice
  • ½ tsp ground star anise
  • A few drops of chilli oil (optional)
  • 1 tbsp water

 

  1. Place the tofu between two plates and place a heavy weight on top.
  2. Press for about 20 minutes and pour away the liquid.
  3. Cut the tofu into slices, place in a dish and pour over marinade.
  4. Leave for at least 1 hour.
  5. Either use in a stir fry or bake at 190 C for 30 minutes, turning the tofu at least once.
  6. Serve with sugar snap peas, handfuls of salad greens and slices of multi-coloured peppers for a warm salad.
