Recipes Using Fine Kelp :

Organic fine kelp flakes are an iodine rich, natural alternative to salt from clean South Pacific seas. Green Bay Harvest Kelp contains alginates and over 70 trace minerals, including naturally high levels of iodine and potassium; much more than iodized salt and many other kelps. The Kelp plant is a brilliant transformer of essential trace minerals from the surrounding sea into a pure human digestible form so it is vitally important that you know your Kelp comes from pollution-free seas. Green Bay Harvest Kelp is harvested from the clean Pacific seas around New Zealand and as part of its organic certification we conduct regular lab-tests to check the kelp is free of toxic heavy metals like arsenic.
Naturally Effective: Green Bay Harvest Kelp is nutrient rich. A source of vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D and E, plus amino acids. As well as iodine, important for proper glandular function, kelp also contains iron, sodium, phosphorus and calcium, also magnesium, potassium and trace minerals. It is easy to digest: plant nutrients, including the iodine found in Kelp, is more easily absorbed by the body than synthetic forms of iodine. Your body needs iodine to maintain a healthy thyroid. But please do consult your physician before taking kelp if you have a diagnosed thyroid problem. Ingredients: 100% New Zealand Dried Kelp (Macrocystis Pyrifera).
Instructions for Use: - Add a modest pinch (0.05g) to flavour food or drink. Use as a salt substitute (in moderation) instead of salt in salad dressings. Sprinkle on fish, vegetables, beans or stir into tomato juice. Place in a container with flour to coat fish or add to any beer batter. Sprinkle on roasted vegetables to enhance the taste. Mix with unsalted butter to give some gourmet to your spread of sprinkle it onto salad or pasta just before serving.

As the other reviewer I also use it to replace salt (which I crave). I also use it sparingly as a Supplement to my dogs food. Excellent product and service.

It tastes so good you'll be wanting to eat it by the spoonful (though it says you shouldn't!). I use it as a replacement for salt in all my cooking.
